Del Bonita 2025 - Annual Hands Across the Border Work Session

Regrettably the first scheduled day of the event was postponed due the weather however the work session was able to move forward on Tuesday, June 17.

Three aircraft from 3 US side and 6 from Canada participated and included 4 flight school aircraft from Super T Aviation with 4 people in each aircraft for a total of 16 from the flight school alone! The work entails parties from both sides of the border walking the strip, gopher bombing the gopher holes and filling them in to prevent badgers from digging them out and creating holes big enough to damage aircraft. The fence is checked, poles are replaced if necessary, and grass is mowed. It was a productive day.

This event is a collaboration between Montana Department of Transportation, Montana Pilots Association and Alberta Flying Farmers and has been taking place since 1984. Look for the next Hands Across the Border Work Session in 2026. See you there!.
